An hour on your business system, online or by phone. We go through what it does, where the risks are, and the options for modernising it. No obligation, no hard sell.

The assessment
We perform an in-depth analysis of your system: a few days inside it with the people who use it, on-site when the system needs it, reading the code and whatever documentation exists. Then a report with plan and price options and a fixed price for each.

The work, in stages
Stabilise and extend what you have, modernise it in stages, or replace it. Each stage takes one process and gets it live, with working software at the end of it. You decide at the end of each stage whether to continue.
Priced by the assessment. Each stage: 40% on signature, 40% at first working version, 20% on handover
The report is yours. Take it to us, another developer, or nobody. Most clients use it to put real numbers in front of the board.
What the report contains
Before anyone talks about a rewrite, we perform an in-depth analysis of your current system and give you a written report:
- What your system actually does (often nobody remembers all of it)
- Where the real risks are, which are urgent and which are theoretical
- Where AI would pay back in your business, and where it would be money on hype
- Costed options: stabilise and extend what you have, modernise it in stages, or replace it, with a price for each

No big bang. No leap of faith.
We don't switch off your old system on a Friday and pray on Monday. We modernise in stages: the new system grows alongside the old one, sharing the same data, screen by screen. Your team keeps working throughout. At every stage you have working software you've already paid for. If you stopped tomorrow, you'd keep everything.
Your data stays yours
Migrated, checked and reconciled, with the old system kept as a fallback until you say so.
Your code stays yours
Everything lives in your own accounts from day one.
You pay in stages
Each payment tied to something you can see working.
And sometimes the answer isn't a rewrite at all. If your system is fundamentally sound, we'll take it over, stabilise it, and build what's missing, AI features included. The assessment tells you which you are.
Open technology, and the code is yours
Everything we build runs on open, widely used technology: .NET and C#, Node and TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL and SQL Server, mainstream cloud. It lives in your own accounts from day one, and full source code and ownership transfer to you on final payment. Any competent developer can pick it up, so you are never locked in to us or to a platform.
That is the direct answer to the two things people tell us on the first call: that a developer left once before and took the knowledge with them, and that they do not want to be tied to a tool they cannot get out of.
After go-live
- 30 days of fixes after launch, included
- Then the care plan: support, hosting, small changes and priority access, at 18% of build cost a year, monthly by direct debit, 30 days' notice to cancel
- Work outside the agreed scope is quoted before you commit to it, at £850 a day

Do we have to use you for the work after the assessment?
No. The report is yours. Take it to us, another developer, or nobody. It is written so that any competent developer can price the options from it.
What happens on the consultation?

Does the assessment include a site visit?
When the system needs one, yes. Some systems can be understood remotely; others need us in the room with the people who use them. The consultation decides which, and the price reflects it.
How long does the assessment take?
A few days inside your system, then the report. The exact scope is set on the consultation, so you know before it starts.
What if the assessment says leave the system alone?
Then that is what the report says, with the reasons and what to watch for. Sometimes keeping an old system alive is the right answer. If it is, we will tell you and quote for that instead.
